Top-quartile pay, published bands
Every role has a written salary band that you see in the first conversation, not after four rounds. We benchmark against Delhi NCR product companies twice a year and correct without being asked.
Every line of code here ends up on a scoreboard in front of a stadium full of parents. It is high-stakes, seasonal, unglamorous work — and there is no better feeling than watching 1,200 children get through a gate in nineteen minutes because of something you built.
No table tennis table in the pitch. Here is what actually shapes a week at SportzContest.

Everyone from the support desk upward gets equity, with a documented buyback window every eighteen months. Two rounds of buyback have already happened — 34 colleagues have taken money off the table.
₹10 lakh family floater covering spouse, children and both sets of parents, with no waiting period on day one. Plus an OPD wallet and six free therapy sessions a year through a partner network.
December and February are heavy — we say so upfront. In exchange, March and July are genuinely light, and everyone takes a mandatory ten-day block off after peak season. Comp-off is tracked, not folklore.
Courses, conferences, coaching or a certification — you decide, your manager approves in a Slack message. Twelve colleagues used it for sports administration and officiating certificates last year.
Most roles are hybrid with two anchor days at our New Delhi office. Fully remote is available for senior engineering. Everyone flies in twice a year for a week-long team offsite, company-paid.
Not because anyone made them. Because the event is that day and the whole point is that it goes well.
Engineers, designers, finance, legal — every single person spends two full event days at a customer venue. You will scan passes, watch a volunteer struggle with your interface, and come back with a list.
Decisions start as a two-page memo, not a forty-slide deck. Meetings begin with ten minutes of silent reading. It sounds odd for the first fortnight and then you never want to go back.
When a leaderboard stalls during a final, we write it up within 48 hours and publish it internally. No names in the title, no performance conversation attached. Sixty-one reviews published so far.
Our customers write to us in Marathi, Tamil, Hindi, Bengali and more. So does the team. Support rotas are built around language coverage, and translation work is paid work, not a favour.
Every Friday at 5, someone runs a fifteen-minute contest on our own platform — quiz, table tennis ladder, a chess arena, a photo challenge. It is dogfooding disguised as fun, and the leaderboard is brutal.
For six weeks each winter we staff a rotating war-room desk from 6 a.m. to midnight. Rotations are voluntary, paid at 2x, capped at two per person, and nobody senior is exempt from the sign-up sheet.
Applications go to a real person. If you do not hear back within seven working days, write to Sneha directly and she will chase it.
Own the scoring and leaderboard services that handled 61,000 concurrent viewers last February. You will work on write-heavy ingestion from field devices, conflict resolution for offline score submissions, and a query layer that must never lie about who is leading.
You bring: 5+ years backend, strong SQL, comfort with distributed state. Band: ₹32–48 LPA + ESOPs.
The gate scanner app is the most used thing we make and the least forgiving. You will work on local queueing, conflict reconciliation, battery behaviour on ₹8,000 Android devices, and a UI a volunteer can learn in ninety seconds.
You bring: 3+ years React Native, real offline-sync experience. Band: ₹24–36 LPA + ESOPs.
Our load profile is the strangest part of this company: near-flat for weeks, then a 40x spike between 8 and 11 a.m. on the second Saturday of December. You will own capacity planning, the deploy-freeze calendar, and the on-call rota that protects it.
You bring: 4+ years SRE/DevOps, Kubernetes, observability tooling. Band: ₹28–42 LPA + ESOPs.
Design for a person holding a clipboard in one hand and a phone in the other, in direct sunlight, with a queue of forty children in front of them. Reporting to Ritika. Expect to spend real days at venues, not just in Figma.
You bring: 4+ years product design, a portfolio with at least one hostile-environment interface. Band: ₹22–34 LPA + ESOPs.
Big-screen scoreboard graphics, medal ceremony stings, certificate templates and the sponsor overlays that keep our customers' funders happy. Six-month contract with a strong intent to convert to full-time.
You bring: After Effects or Rive, a reel with broadcast-style work. Band: ₹1.6–2.4 lakh per month.
Run the on-ground crew for championship-tier events across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Telangana. Venue recces, scoring desk setup, volunteer training, and being the calm voice at 6 a.m. when the projector will not talk to the leaderboard.
You bring: 5+ years running large events, willingness to travel 10 days a month. Band: ₹18–26 LPA + ESOPs.
Own a book of roughly 180 school accounts from onboarding through their December meet and into renewal. You will train PT staff, build their first event with them on a call, and be their named human when something goes sideways.
You bring: 3+ years in CS or education sales, fluent Hindi and Marathi. Band: ₹12–19 LPA + ESOPs.
Long, relationship-heavy cycles with state sports bodies and university sports boards. Six to nine months, multiple committees, and a demo that usually happens in a room with no reliable Wi-Fi. Reporting to Mohammed Junaid.
You bring: 6+ years enterprise or government-adjacent sales in India. Band: ₹20–30 LPA fixed + uncapped variable.
Send us a note about the hardest event you have ever helped run — or the most interesting system you have built. We keep an open pipeline and have hired seven people this way.
No unpaid take-homes that eat a weekend, no whiteboard algorithm theatre, and no ghosting. We tell you the band in call one and the decision within seven working days of the last round.
With someone from the hiring team, not a screener reading a script. We cover what the role actually involves, the salary band, the seasonality, and what you are looking for. Either side can stop here with no hard feelings.
A working session on a real problem from our backlog — a scoring conflict, a check-in queue, a churning account. You talk, we talk, nobody is silently graded on a rubric you cannot see. Paid take-home available instead if you prefer async.
Two future colleagues, at least one from outside your function. We are checking for how you handle a Saturday when a leaderboard freezes and a headmaster is standing next to you. Bring questions — this round is half yours.
Nikhil or Ritika, depending on the function. Then a written offer within 48 hours with the ESOP grant, vest schedule and buyback history spelled out. We also connect you with two people who joined in the last year, unfiltered.
If yours is not here, write to info@catalystwebtrendz.com and a human will reply.
Ask us somethingEight open roles across engineering, design, operations and sales. Real bands, real people on the other side of the form, and a decision in seven working days.
