20 categories, ready to run

If people compete in it, we already know how to score it

Every category below arrives with its own entry type, scoring model, tie-break logic and result format. Pick one, set your dates and fees, and publish. The configuration marathon other platforms ask for simply is not there.

The full list

Filter by what kind of competition you run

Many organisers run more than one type — a school festival is sporting, cultural and academic in the same week. Categories can be combined under a single parent event.

Cricket

Ball-by-ball scoring with automatic run rate, extras, fall of wickets and DLS-style rain adjustments. Runs T20, limited-over and box-cricket formats from league stage to final, with a public commentary feed.

Team entry Ball-by-ball scoring Points table

Football

Goal, assist, card and substitution logging with running match clock. Group stages resolve on points, then goal difference, then head-to-head — the tie-break order is yours to set before kick-off, not after.

Team entry Live match clock Group + knockout

Athletics

Track and field on one sheet: heats, lane draws, timings to the hundredth, and best-of-three attempts for jumps and throws. Personal bests and meet records flag themselves the moment a mark is entered.

Individual & relay Time / distance Heats & finals

Chess

Swiss and round-robin pairings generated per round, with Buchholz, Sonneborn-Berger and direct-encounter tie-breaks applied automatically. Arbiters enter results from the board on a phone.

Individual entry Swiss pairing Tie-break rules

Badminton

Singles, doubles and mixed draws with seeding, byes and best-of-three set scoring. Court allocation and next-match calls go out on WhatsApp, so nobody misses a slot because they stepped out for chai.

Singles & doubles Set scoring Seeded draw

Dance

Solo, duet and group entries with a weighted judge rubric across technique, synchronisation, expression and costume. Time-limit penalties apply automatically, and video entries can be pre-screened before the stage round.

Solo & group Judge rubric Video pre-screening

Singing

Classical, playback and western categories with separate rubrics for each. Judges score pitch, rhythm, voice quality and presentation on a tablet; the aggregate hides individual panellists until results are published.

Individual entry Blind panel Genre rubrics

Quiz

Prelims run as a timed online paper with automatic ranking; the stage final uses live buzzer rounds with pounce, bounce and negative marking. Question banks stay locked until the round opens.

Photography

Themed submissions with EXIF checks, resolution rules and an edit-policy declaration. Judges score composition, concept and technical quality; an optional public-vote round runs alongside with a capped weight.

Online submission Judge + public vote EXIF verification

Drawing

On-the-spot and take-home art contests by age band. Entries are photographed at the venue and tagged to a code, so panels judge the artwork without ever seeing the child's name or school.

Age-band entry Anonymous judging On-spot capture

Debate

Parliamentary, MUN and conventional formats with motion allocation, speaker timers and adjudicator ballots. Speaker points and team wins are tracked separately so a losing side can still take best speaker.

Team entry Adjudicator ballot Speaker points

Coding

Competitive programming contests scored on problems solved, with time penalty applied for wrong submissions. Live ICPC-style standings freeze in the last hour, which is exactly when the room gets loud.

Individual entry Penalty scoring Frozen standings

Hackathons

Team formation, problem-statement allocation, checkpoint submissions and a demo-day rubric across innovation, feasibility, execution and pitch. Mentor slots and sponsor tracks sit in the same schedule.

Team of 2–6 Milestone rubric Sponsor tracks

Gaming

Esports ladders with lobby codes, screenshot result submission and dispute windows. Battle-royale points formulas combine placement and kills; head-to-head titles run as double-elimination brackets.

Squad entry Points formula Dispute window

Robotics

Arena runs timed to the second with a scoring sheet per attempt — task points, penalties and best-of-two runs. Design and documentation carry their own judged weight alongside on-field performance.

Talent Hunt

Open-format auditions where every act is different. Judges score on a common scale for skill, originality and stage presence, and audience voting can be switched on for a wildcard slot in the final.

Open format Public voting Audition rounds

Cultural Events

Drama, mime, fashion walk, rangoli, mehndi and folk performance under one umbrella. Each sub-event keeps its own rubric and time limit while feeding a shared overall cultural championship tally.

Multi-format Shared championship Stage scheduling

School Festivals

The whole annual calendar in one parent event — sports day, cultural week, science exhibition and inter-house quiz. House points aggregate across all of it into a single trophy standing on the foyer screen.

Twenty categories, four scoring models

Every category above is built on one of these four engines — or a blend of two. Understanding which one your event needs takes about a minute.

Points table

Wins, draws and losses convert to points across a league or group stage. You define the point values and the tie-break ladder — goal difference, net run rate, head-to-head — before a ball is bowled.

CricketFootballGaming

Time / distance

The clock or the tape decides. Timings to the hundredth, best-of-three attempts, wind readings and automatic personal-best and meet-record flags. No judgement, no dispute, no recount.

AthleticsRoboticsSwimming

Judge rubric

Weighted criteria scored independently by each panellist on a tablet. Optional blind mode hides other judges' marks, and the outlier report flags a panellist whose scoring drifts from the panel.

DanceSingingHackathons

Public voting

OTP-verified votes with per-device and per-number caps, rate limiting and a bot-pattern check. Public weight is capped against the judge score, so a popularity surge cannot overturn a panel.

The twenty above are the ones organisers ask for most — not a boundary. If your competition can be scored by points, time, a rubric or a vote, it already fits one of our four engines. Tell us the format and we will have a working template on your account in two working days, free.

Category questions

What organisers ask before picking one

Four quick answers. Another forty live on the FAQ page, and an events specialist will happily talk through the awkward edge cases on a call.

Read all FAQs
Yes, and most do. A parent event holds unlimited sub-events, each with its own category template, fee, cap and coordinator. Points from all of them roll up into one overall championship table — a school festival routinely mixes athletics, quiz and dance under a single house tally.
Nearly all of it. Point values, rubric criteria and their weights, tie-break order, penalty rules, number of attempts and how many judges must score before a result locks are all yours to set. The one rule we enforce is that the model is frozen once the first result is entered, so nobody can move the goalposts mid-event.
No. A judge opens a link on their own phone or a venue tablet, sees one performer at a time with your criteria listed, and taps a score for each. There is no login to remember and no menu to learn. Most panels are comfortable within two entries; we still send a one-page brief you can forward the night before.
Votes are OTP-verified against a mobile number, capped per number and per device, and rate-limited. Suspicious bursts are flagged for your review before results publish. Most importantly, public weight is capped against the judge score — we recommend 20 to 30 per cent — so a coordinated push can influence a close call but never overturn a panel.
